Backup Policy

1. Our Backup Commitment
FalseViking Labs performs best-effort backups of hosted services. Backups are provided as a convenience and do not replace your own backup responsibility. We strongly recommend you maintain independent copies of all critical data.
2. Backup Tiers
Included with all plans
Weekly snapshots · 4 retained (~1 month of history)
Daily backups
Daily snapshots · 30 retained (~1 month of daily history)
GFS rotation (~3 months)
7 daily · 4 weekly · 3 monthly snapshots retained
Custom solutions (longer retention, custom schedules, off-site to your own storage) available on request.
3. What Is Backed Up
Backups cover hosted service configuration and data as it exists at snapshot time. They do not cover:
- Data deleted more than 7 days before the snapshot
- Data corrupted prior to the snapshot
4. Restore Process
- Email support@falsevikinglabs.com with your account email and the service affected
- Restores are processed within 3 business days
- One restore per month is included; additional restores may incur a €10 handling fee
We cannot guarantee successful restoration in all cases.
5. Your Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Exporting and storing your own copies of critical data
- Notifying us promptly if you suspect data loss
- Not relying solely on our backups for business-critical data
6. Backup Security
All backups are stored encrypted at rest on Hetzner infrastructure within the EU. Access is restricted to FalseViking Labs operations only.
