Terms of Service

1. About Us

FalseViking Labs ("we", "us") is a sole trader providing web hosting and related services. By purchasing any service, you ("the client") agree to these Terms.

2. Services

We offer website hosting, password manager hosting, and data backup services as described at the time of order. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service with 30 days written notice.

3. Payment & Billing

• Services are billed monthly in advance via Stripe.
• Invoices are due immediately upon issue.
• Accounts more than 7 days overdue will be suspended.
• Accounts more than 14 days overdue may be terminated and data deleted.
• No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You may not use our services to:

• Host, distribute, or transmit illegal content under Danish or EU law
• Send unsolicited email (spam)
• Launch attacks against other systems (DDoS, port scanning, exploitation)
• Host phishing, malware, or fraudulent content
• Infringe third-party intellectual property rights
• Mine cryptocurrency
• Consume disproportionate resources that impact other clients

Violation results in immediate suspension without refund.

5. Service Availability

We target 99.5% monthly uptime on all hosted services. This is a target, not a contractual guarantee. Planned maintenance will be announced at least 48 hours in advance where possible. We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime.

6. Backups

• We perform best-effort backups but do not guarantee backup availability or completeness.
• You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical data.
• Paid backup add-ons are subject to the same best-effort terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FalseViking Labs is not liable for:

• Loss of data, revenue, or profits
• Indirect or consequential damages
• Service interruptions beyond our reasonable control

Our total liability is limited to fees paid in the previous 30 days.

8. Termination

• You may cancel at any time with no penalty. Access continues until end of the paid period.
• We may terminate your service immediately for AUP violations.
• Upon termination, data is retained for 7 days then deleted permanently.

9. Privacy & GDPR

We process your personal data (name, email, billing details) to deliver services and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your data to third parties. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Clients will be notified by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of services after that date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark and the European Union. Disputes will be resolved in Danish courts, or by the Danish Consumer Complaints Board (Forbrugerklagenævnet) where applicable.
